What Is A Healthy Bmi

You do not know what BMI is. This time I will give the meaning of the BMI. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measurement showing the relationship between weight and height.

BMI is a mathematical formula in which a person’s weight (in kg) is divided by height (in m²).
BMI is more associated with body fat than other indicators for height and weight.

A person with a BMI of 25-29.9 is said to be overweight, while someone with a BMI of 30 or more is said to be obese.

BMI can estimate body fat, but it can not be interpreted as a definite percentage of body fat.
The relationship between fat and BMI is affected by age and sex. Women are more likely to have a higher body fat percentage than men with the same BMI scores. In the same BMI, older people have more body fat than younger people.

A healthy BMI for adults is 18.5 to 24.9.
A high BMI is a prediction of death from heart disease and blood vessels.
Diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, and osteoarthritis are also the result of overweight and obesity often found in adults.
Obesity itself is a strong risk factor of premature death.

Interpretation of BMI scores for adults, regardless of age or sex:
• Underweight (weight less): BMI <bmi = “Weight” bmi = “Weight” bmi = “95.3” 000 = “28.5”>
